It is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 15% Aligote sourced from the Cote de Beaune and Cote Chalonnaise. Aged on the yeast for 18 months, this Cremant de Bourgogne presents a fresh, flowery nose followed by a silky palate where cleanly rendered fruit is braced by a citrusy core. The flavor profile is rounded out and complexed with pleasing undertones of minerals and toast. Crafted in a crowd-pleasing style, this sparkler must be counted as one of the very best Champagne alternates on the market.
