ANTONIO GALLONI 95 POINTS - "I was especially struck by the 2018 Pinots, wines that have tremendous dimension and layers to their personalities all the way throughout the range. As always, the estate Pinots are blends with specific personalities rather than single block or single vineyard wines. The Pinots spent 11 months in oak, as did the Chardonnays, while the Syrahs saw 15 months in oak. The Peay wines have been compelling for a number of years. This year's lineup is especially stellar."
"Another gorgeous wine in this range, the 2018 Pinot Noir Estate Scallop Shelf is laced with pretty floral and mineral notes that work nicely with the wine's taut, mid-weight frame. Bright, focused and wonderfully nuanced, the 2018 has so much to offer. I very much like the wine's sense of energy, but it needs time to be at its best."
