The Paolo e Noemia D’Amico estate was established in the 1980’s and sits in the wonderfully green Vaiano valley, on the borders of Tuscany, Lazio and Umbria. Today, Paolo and Noemia d’Amico’s company is one of the most interesting on the Italian wine scene, with wines that are deservedly found in the best cellars.
Crisp, clean and cool white from Tuscany The estate is relatively young, starting in 1985 and is based in Umbria but wedged right up in the corner where the region meets both Lazio and Tuscany. This Orvieto, Umbria’s signature white, is from grapes planted on volcanic soils 300-metres above sea level and it shows in the wine’s vibrancy and minerality.
