BURGHOUND 94 POINTS: "The expressive and highly aromatic nose remains largely if not completely primary as there is some secondary character evident on the floral and sandalwood-inflected red and dark berry scents. There is equally good complexity to the delicious and attractively textured medium weight plus flavors that possess both good power and excellent persistence on the naturally sweet finale. This is evolving very well and while it could easily be enjoyed now I would be inclined to allow it another 4 to 6 years of cellar time where it should then hold for another 20ish years. In a word, excellent."

ROBERTPARKER.COM 92 POINTS: "Smoked meat, rose hip, and citrus zest on the nose of the Potel 2006 Latricieres-Chambertin are backed up by an invigorating and intense palate attack, sap and stuffing combined with resinous oiliness and brightness of fresh red fruits; and a vibratory interaction of carnal, herbal, and fruit elements for a finish. This is a bit like a testosterone-charged adolescent male, ungainly and just possibly dangerous to cellar. But I would be inclined to give it a few years and to anticipate considerable stability thereafter. The underlying tannic structure is fine here, betraying no ill-effects of hail.
