Clontarf 1014 is a triple distilled Irish whiskey produced by the Irish Distillers subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Originally called "Clontarf," the whiskey takes its name from the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 in which Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, defeated an army of Vikings. "This honey-hued blended whiskey offers vanilla, coconut and almond aromas and flavors plus touches of menthol and honeysuckle. The finish is quite spicy; cayenne and cinnamon prickle the tip of the tongue." Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast
