The wine is young on both the nose and palate, but shows excellent promise. The bouquet is a primary constellation of strawberries, tangerine, chalky soil tones, gentle smokiness, rye bread, orange peel, hints of the spices to come with bottle age and dried flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and deep in the mid-palate, with frothy mousse, crisp acids, excellent focus and grip, nascent complexity and a very long, soil-driven finish of impressive bounce and structural integrity. Like the current release of the Cuvée Sainte Anne, this lovely Rosé really deserves some time in the cellar to develop its secondary layers of complexity and really blossom. Not surprisingly, this is a very serious example that is long on terroir and short on pretension."

This perennial best seller is composed of 100% Grand Cru Pinot Noir and its salmon color is achieved via the traditional saignee process rather than through the easier method of blending in red wine. The result is a rose of uncommon depth and character but one that still manages to be very silky and light on its feet.

With a voluptuous dosage (45 g/liter) and amble acidity, this bubbly is also tailor made for berry-based desserts and chocolate indulgences. We recently paired it with some Hi-Time Chocolatier dark chocolate almond bark and the synergy was pure heaven-definitely a 100 point experience. We couldn't find any current reviews but our own notes run: Deep sunset red color with a vigorous mousse that releases deep aromas of very ripe strawberries, nougat and toffee. The front palate is pleasantly sweet and creamy and is dominated by an array of flambéed red berry flavors flanked with subtle notions of tangerine cream that are deftly reined in by bright acidity.
