This nicely textured, medium to full-bodied white has an expansive texture, solid mid-palate depth, and a clean, dry finish that will make it shine at the dinner table. Drink it any time over the coming 7-8 years."
WINE ADVOCATE 91-93 POINTS - "The Domaine de la Solitude 2018 Blanc has a spicy nose of ginger, allspice and coriander seed over a core of lemon curd and grapefruit plus a waft of baker's yeast. Full-bodied and satiny textured, it has loads of tropical layers and a long, refreshing finish."
- Item #: i_346005Bottle Size: 750MLWhile the Beaujolais is known for producing easy-drinking wines, the combination of old vines, exceptional terroir, and skilled winemaking can yield something truly special—elegant, structured wines capable of maturing for decades, without losing that irresistible early-drinking charm. Marcel Lapierre’s children Mathieu and Camille carry on their father’s legacy by honoring the principles he famously championed: hand-harvesting ripe, organically farmed grapes, allowing a natural fermentation with no additives, and bottling unfiltered with minimal sulfur, if any. This particular bottling represents a rare cuvée spéciale from vines over one hundred years old on Morgon’s splendid Côte du Py. The texture here is pure velvet, a Lapierre trademark. Substance, flesh, and serious density are delivered with total finesse and seductiveness. This world-class wine will entice and inspire for many years to come. certified organic
- Item #: i_350519Bottle Size: 750mlWhite wine accounts for just 3% of Domaine Tempier’s total wine production. It is made from grapes grown on the estate’s finest vineyards which benefit from limited exposure to sunshine. This results in the grapes ripening slowly which allows the wine to mature with good balance after spending 8 to 10 months in oak casks. A blend of Clairette, Bourboulenc and Ugni Blanc; characterized by minerality, freshness, citrus fruit white blossoms. This white can be enjoyed now and up to 8 years from the vintage should you wish to experience the wine as it develops in bottle.
- Item #: i_352564Bottle Size: 750mlPaul-Henri Thillardon started this domaine in Chénas back in 2008, and has built it up piece by piece. They are based in Chessignol and have 4 hectares here, with very old vineyards behind the domaine (80-100 year old vines). This was the first of their vineyards he took to biodynamics, which he started with when he acquired it in 2012. In 2014 Paul-Henri was joined full time by his brother Charles (who is in his early 20s; he began his career with a milk company), and now all their vines are farmed this way. In total they work 12 hectares of vines.
