  1. DUPEUBLE 2019 BEAUJOLAIS

    Item #: i_311862
    Bottle Size: 750ML
We are very excited to announce the 2019 Beaujolais from Domaine Dupeuble as our Wine of the Month 2. We recently tasted this wine and were blown away! As with the outstanding prior vintage, the fruit and floral aromatics immediately caught our attention and the fireworks began when we tasted the great purity, balance and freshness of this wine. This collaboration between the historic domaine and the great importer Kermit Lynch is absolutely delicious and represents an insane value.

Our buyers unanimously selected this as "the one" due to its amazing drinkability and fantastic quality to price ratio. This Beaujolais drinks like a much more expensive Cru Beaujolais-it's that good!! This offers a melange of red, blue and dark fruits and is definitely one of those crowd-pleasing wines everybody will enjoy.

Last year, Dupeuble was selected as Wine of the Month, which illustrates the incredible consistency of this wine. If anything, the 2019 might have a touch more freshness which makes us want to reach for another glass, or two!

Tradition runs deep in the family and the estate perched above a narrow creek in the hamlet of Le Breuil has been in operation since 1512. The 50-100 year old Gamay vines are grown primarily on granite-based soil with the remainder a mix of clay and limestone. The Dupeuble family tends their vineyards without any chemicals or synthetic fertilizers with the grapes harvested manually and vinified completely without SO2. The wines are fermented using natural yeasts and are bottled without filtering to preserve the intensity of flavor.

There are very few wines in the world that can compete with this quality at such a great price. This is one to stock up on and enjoy as your new house red.

This gorgeous red is deep purple in color with riveting aromatics. A farmer's market feast awaits as blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries, violets and cinnamon greet the nose. On the palate, this wine is medium-bodied yet layered with a rich, smooth texture. The fruits listed above cascade across the palate with a freshness that has us asking for another glass. A knock out!

  2. MARY TAYLOR 2017 VALENCAY ROUGE SOPHIE SIADOU

    Item #: i_352961
    Bottle Size: 750ml
Valençay area of France’s Loire valley produces a singular. More often than not, the hidden values of the world of wine are discovered along the road less traveled, far from the common crowd.

Produced from the region’s three main varieties: Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Côt (the local name for Malbec),with the lightness and elegance of its high percentage of pinot noir, plus a wonderful floral quality, it also reveals its leaner, more structured “Malbec” side.

Succulent flavors of raspberries, black currant, and spice. The archetypal “country wine,” intrinsically designed for drinkability, it would be ideal with roast chicken, any kind of barbecue— or, even better, a nice chalky slice of Valençay cheese.

  3. RAISINS GAULOIS 2019 MARCEL LAPIERRE BEAUJOLAIS

    Item #: i_333924
    Bottle Size: 750ML
    ORGANIC, BIODYNAMIC

This cuvee takes the Vin de France appellation, because the Beaujolais' governing body decided to do away with the Vin de Pays designation in Beaujolais, leaving only the appellations and Vin de France. The wine is still almost all from the cru of Morgon, with a little bit of A.O.C. Beaujolais as well.

  4. VISSOUX 2018 BEAUJOLAIS ORIGINE VIEILLES VIGNES PIERRE-MARIE CHERMETTE

    Item #: i_354132
    Bottle Size: 750ml
    Wine Advocate: 90
WINE ADVOCATE 90 POINTS: "The 2018 Beaujolais-Villages Origine offers up a generous bouquet of ripe cherries, blackberries, raspberries and warm spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate with good depth at the core, ripe acids and powdery structuring tannins. It's also a precocious, inviting wine, but there's more structure here than in Chermette's Griotte, and this will reward a year or two in bottle."
