  1. JEAN-PAUL DROIN 2016 CHABLIS MONTEE DE TONNERRE

    Item #: i_352712
    Bottle Size: 750ml
    Wine Advocate: 92-94
WINE ADVOCATE 92-94 POINTS: "The 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre has such a pretty, winsome bouquet with scents of pressed white flowers, white peach, subtle smoke and walnut aromas. The palate is flinty on the entry with wonderful tension. This is not a powerful Chablis but one that emphasizes the terroir and is blessed with a precise, elegant and persistent finish. This is an outstanding effort by Benoît Droin and clearly the pick of his premier crus this year."

VINOUS 92-94 POINTS: "Light yellow-green. Captivating, soil-driven scents of lime skin, crushed rock, fresh herbs and caraway seed. In a distinctly cool style, despite the fact that Droin picked these vines later at 12.8% potential alcohol due to hydric stress here in August, but with noteworthy density to the slightly reduced flavors of anise and rock. Not hugely ripe but strong in extract and very long and saline on the slowly building aftertaste, finishing with a suggestion of silex. I love the cool minerality on display here."

  2. JOSEPH DROUHIN 2016 MONTRACHET MARQUIS DE LAGUICHE

    Item #: i_351915
    Bottle Size: 750ml
    James Suckling: 99
JAMES SUCKLING 99 POINTS: "The complexity and sheer magnitude of Montrachet is on full show here. A powerful expression of the largest holdings in the Puligny side of the vineyard. Grilled hazelnuts, grilled peaches, grapefruit and lemon citrus, as well as a layer of spiced nougat-like aromas. There’s a very long, concentrated and dense palate that starts out cloaked in flavors of rich peaches and glossy fruits. The flavors then peel away in layers as it sits on the palate, revealing a very focused, refined and essence-like citrus core with tremendous elegance and intensity. Drink or hold through the next decade. Or even longer if you desire."

BURGHOUND 95 POINTS: "DON'T MISS!"A strikingly pretty and layered nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, citrus peel, acacia blossom, spice and essence of green apple. There is excellent freshness and terrific intensity to the big-bodied and tautly muscular flavors that brim with impressive amounts of dry extract on the balanced and explosively long finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. This is very much still a work in progress and I would recommend not touching a bottle for at least 5 years and 12 to 15 would be better."

VINOUS 94 POINTS - "Pungent herbs, lemon zest and marzipan on the nose. Superb intensity and inner-mouth lift to the flavors of green apple, green flowers and green melon. Juicy, concentrated, sappy and very long, with a rising, echoing back end. Leaves behind a taste of oystery sea water. Excellent material here but not particularly high in acidity."

  9. LOUIS JADOT 2016 CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET

    Item #: i_351286
    Bottle Size: 750ml
The white wines of Chassagne Montrachet are the most robust of the Côte des Blancs, becoming less delicate and more straightforward as one progresses southward from the Grand Cru vineyards at the Puligny border. Chardonnay is the only grape variety used for the white wines. Maison Louis Jadot vinifies the production of growers in this commune with whom they hold purchase agreements based on the quality of the fruit each year. This traditional vinification in oak casks brings forth the rich, plump fruit and full body of the wine, which shows a vigorous, aromatic bouquet and persistent, earthy finish. These great wines should be kept for special meals: foie gras, entrées, and fish in cream sauces, fine charcuterie and white meats in rich sauces.

  10. LOUIS LATOUR 2016 ARDECHE CHARDONNAY

    Item #: i_313610
    Bottle Size: 750ml
Maison Louis Latour is one of the most innovative producers in Burgundy whilst maintaining its traditional image. With a view to expanding the business in 1979, the valley of the Ardèche river with its clay and limestone-based soils was chosen as the ideal location to produce a top-quality Chardonnay wine. The Chardonnay d'Ardèche is aged in stainless steel vats for approximately 10 months. It is a fresh and easy to drink wine. Crisp, clean and delicious with outstanding complexity for the price, Latour’s Ardeche delivers a basket full of sundry autumn apple and dried orchard fruit flavors. Refreshing and invigorating, here’s the perfect after work “pick-me-up” that delivers way beyond the wine’s meager price point. Item #: i_350627
    Bottle Size: 750ml
    Burghound: 97 DON'T MISS
BURGHOUND 96 POINTS:"Like several wines in the range there is a subtle whiff of the exotic in the form of mandarin orange to the acacia blossom, green fruit and mineral reduction-suffused aromas. The dense, serious and powerful broad-shouldered flavors flash plenty of minerality on the chiseled, even crystalline finish that delivers huge length. This tautly muscular effort is seriously good though patience will of course be necessary."

  14. MAISON HENRY BOILLOT 2015 MONTRACHET GRAND CRU

    Item #: i_351775
    Bottle Size: 750ml
BURGHOUND 97 POINTS:"This is quite discreet with only barely perceptible cool citrusy wisps of ripe pear, white peach and apricot aromas that also exude a hint of mandarin orange. The borderline massive flavors are enormously powerful yet focused and despite the size, weight and punch, the finish is almost delicate. A built-to-age Montrachet that remains light on its feet. In a word, wow."

  15. MAISON LEROY 2016 BOURGOGNE BLANC

    Item #: i_351184
    Bottle Size: 750ml
The negiciant house Maison Leroy was founded by Francois Leroy in the small village of Auxey-Duresses in 1868. Henri Leroy joined the business in 1919 and when daughter Lalou Bize-Leroy took over her father's negociant business in 1964, she became one of the first women to head an important firm in Burgundy. As well as an unwavering devotee of biodynamism, Bize-Leroy is a passionate believer in low yields. Leroy is known for wines with incredible density and intensity of fruit. This basic Bourgogne Blanc offers a level of fruit intensity and extraction that is uncommon for white Burgundy. Meticulous in its integration of oak to the texture, there's lots of ripe fruit, long-lasting flavors and a fine, laser-sharp finish.

    Item #: i_352642
    Bottle Size: 750ml

WINE SPECTATOR 91 POINTS - ""A creamy version, infused with peach, melon and pastry flavors. Shows good cut underneath, allowing this to sail to a lingering conclusion. Fine texture."

Harvesting is done 100% by hand. Once grapes arrive in the cellar, they are immediately and carefully sorted and pressed with a pneumatic press. The wine spends 12 months aging, 3 of which are spent in stainless steel. Once finished, the wine is transferred to 100% oak barrels (18% new oak).

  18. PIERRE BOISSON 2016 BOURGOGNE BLANC

    Item #: i_351468
    Bottle Size: 750ml
Although not certified organic the Domaine never use any fertiliser or pesticides and all the vines are ploughed to control weeds and to air the soil. Vinification is traditional and the harvest is done by hand. The grapes are sorted in the vines and back at the Domaine before going into vats. The wine is aged in oak barrels between 15 and 18 months, sometimes more if the vintage demands it. New oak is used very sparingly, though there are no hard & fast rules as to percentages of new or old barrels, the vintage decides. What is clear, t though, is that in no way do the Domaine want the oak to mask the character of the wine. Bottling is done at the Domaine without any filtration. The wines, even at Bourgogne level, are incredibly intense, taut and powerful, they are definitely the more mineral side of the Meursault spectrum. The flinty, powerful Meursaults rank among the very top wines of the commune.

  19. VINCENT DANCER 2016 CHEVALIER MONTRACHET GRAND CRU

    Item #: i_351762
    Bottle Size: 750ml
    CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Dancer has a miniscule 0.10-hectares of Chevalier, planted in 1952, that sits in the very highest part of the top left hand corner of the vineyard where it has the same elevation as Le Montrachet. It’s worked by horse and Dancer makes only a single pièce (or barrel), reflecting the tiny yields he achieves. Native yeast fermentation with no additions, natural malo, and no battonage. Aged in all new oak for 17 month. After assemblage the wine is racked back into stainless steel to age for an additional 5-6 months before bottling. Bottled with no fining or filtration. Only a handful of bottles (around 300) are produced each year from this archetypal white Burgundy vineyard.
