A joint venture between Château Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de los Andes, this wine is a groundbreaking blend of legendary, Bordeaux “First Growth” winemaking expertise with the very best terroir in Argentina, resulting in an elegant New World tribute to the historic art of assemblage.

WINE ADVOCATE 98 POINTS - "The 2019 Cheval des Andes had a more reductive vinification and élevage, making the wine a bit shy and in need of time to open up, as one of their objectives was to make it more age-worthy. Another objective is to get to a 50/50 blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, which they achieved in this vintage for the first time, going back to the initial character of the wine that was the idea of Argentinean winemaker Roberto de la Mota... The wine is... ripe without excess, with around 14.2% alcohol, mellow acidity and velvety tannins... It's tasty and supple and has the ingredients and the balance for what they are aiming for... The way they want to describe the wine is the Argentinean expression of Cheval Blanc. And I can only agree."

Cheval des Andes is a partnership between two exceptional estates and a perfect reflection of the Franco-Argentine style. This unique alliance combines the world-class winemaking of the great Bordeaux producer, Château Cheval Blanc (remember Mile’s dream bottle from the movie Sideways?) and the high altitude terroir of Terrazas de Los Andes. The unique location of Luján de Cuyo in the foothills of the Andes gives rise to the production of an intense, expressive and refined wine. Cheval des Andes symbolizes the perfect synergy between the French art of blending and New World creative innovation. Enjoy this expression of world-class winemaking at a quality to price ratio which is hard to beat!
