"A year-in, year-out smoking value" - Jeb Dunnuck

"Thoroughly enticing from start to finish" - Wine Spectator

"Ripe and juicy with a fruity finish" - James Suckling

"It's going to put a smile on your face" - Jeb Dunnuck

We recently opened the juicy and delicious 2020 Tardieu Laurent Cotes du Rhone and loved it! Forward and open for business with silky, perfectly ripened fruit, "it's going to put a smile on your face" as Jeb Dunnuck so eloquently wrote. The crowd-pleasing style and attractive price make this a compelling wine.

As mentioned, Rhone-loving critic Jeb Dunnock was very impressed with this wine giving it 91 Points. He also called it, "A year-in, year-out smoking value." If you have enjoyed recent emails featuring the Plateau des Chenes Lirac or the Gonnet Cairanne, this will also be in your wheelhouse. The fabulous Rhone blend is comprised of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache sourced from old vines. This Cotes du Rhone displays a rounded, silky profile on a full-bodied frame.

Tardieu-Laurent was established in 1994 as a partnership between Dominique Laurent, a respected name in Burgundy and a talented young winemaker named Michel Tardieu. Tardieu-Laurent is a micro-negociant, sourcing from growers all over the Rhone. The production on each of their bottlings is quite small lending an artisanal quality to their releases.

Over the years, Tardieu Laurent has emerged as one of the best micro-negociants in Rhone Valley. Today, Michel's son Bastien has joined and the wines have never been better. They work with organic and biodynamic farmers ensuring a purity of fruit, which can be tasted in the glass.

This deliciously satisfying, crowd-pleaser is a smart buy and an excellent wine to purchase by the case. Enjoy!

JEB DUNNUCK 91 POINTS - "A year-in, year-out smoking value, the 2020 Côtes du Rhône Les Becs Fins offers a vivid purple hue as well as a great, classic Côtes du Rhône nose of peppery black cherry and framboise fruits, garrigue, spice box, licorice, and even a hint of violets. Soft, medium-bodied, fruit-driven, yet wonderfully pure and far from a simple red, it's going to put a smile on your face over the coming 3-5 years."

WINE SPECTATOR 90 POINTS - "Vibrant, with violet, cassis and plum notes laced with a note of lavender. Modest in scale, but thoroughly enticing from start to finish. Grenache and Syrah."
