H by HINE is a harmonious blend of more than 20 cognacs, over 4 years old, all distilled from grapes grown in the prestigious Grande and Petite Champagne regions. HINE ANTIQUE XO GRAND CHAMPAGNE COGNAC In 1920, Georges HINE created Antique, a complex and stunning cognac. 90 years later, the House of HINE reinterprets this timeless classic, now an XO Premier Cru. Antique XO 1er Cru is a blend of over 40 cognacs all aged for a minimum of 10 years, exclusively from grapes grown in Grande Champagne, the finest cru of the Cognac region. Tasting Notes Visual aspect: translucent, with an amber hue and beautiful orange tints. Nose: delicate on scents of tobacco, floral fragrances and a touch of cinnamon, mirabelle plum and apricot. Palate: superb, delicate, full-bodied, with a marvelous finish. Food matching: enjoy it without food accompaniment to savour its pleasure to the full. Comments: tremendous delicacy.

Hine Rare VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac is a blend of Grande (60%) and Petite Champagnes (40%). After the grapes are harvested and fermented, they are distilled with their fine lees, which helps maintain the richness and structure of the cognac.

Following distillation, Hine Rare VSOP is aged in fine-grained wood sourced from northern France. "We prefer oak from the north of France because it has a finer grain which gives greater delicacy and less toast," says Forget. In addition, "we don't age too much in new oak as the wood flavors can dominate and hide the fruity and floral elements of the wine."

Hine Rare VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac is aged between six and twelve years. It has a rich, perfumed aroma, with notes of jasmine, acacia, vanilla, oak and fruit on the palate. The finish is delicate and well-balanced, with mellow touches of vanilla, caramel and chewy leather dominating.
