This wine’s calling card: dark-colored with abundant notes of black, semi-sweet cocoa and coffee notes. The vines of the Chateau Morel bottling are rooted in a sloping granite-based terroir. With the 2018 Jean-Baptiste worked some whole cluster bunches along with indigenous yeast fermentation, and then allowing the wine to spend three weeks in stainless steel tank followed by 13 months aging in older oak barrels, unfined, unfiltered.
