WINE SPECTATOR 95 POINTS - "This has a mix of both caressing and racy elements, with lemon curd, star fruit and mirabelle plum notes laced with quinine and meringue. The flash of brioche on the finish gives this a flattering hint now that should emerge more with cellaring. Clairette, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Clairette Rose, Bourboulenc, Picpoul. Drink now through 2027. 133 cases made, 50 cases imported."

JEB DUNNUCK 95 POINTS - " Honeyed pear, pineapple, white flowers, crushed stone, and some spicy notes all emerge from the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Le Vin De La Solitude Blanc, a balanced, fresh, lively white that brings a surprising amount of richness, depth, and length on the palate. It's beautifully done, and I suspect it will have a solid decade or more of longevity. I love it. This cuvée is a barrel co-fermented of 45% Clairette, 20% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 5% Clairette Rosé, and the balance Bourboulenc and Picpoul."

DECANTER 95 POINTS - "Florent Lançon has started using more solids in the juice for his whites and the results justify this decision. Quite closed and introspective for now, the oak is very tight around the wine, but there's great freshness within. Straight and focused, showing tobacco, pear and cedar, this will take time to come round, but should be good and age well when it's ready. Very impressive for a first vintage."
