This estate grown Rose was produced in a cool, very classic vintage. It reveals the juiciness of Pinot Noirs from the early ripening south-facing clay-limestone Cumieres terroir, refined and lengthened by the freshness of the north-facing Chouilly Chardonnays. Roederer has pioneered an infusion technique where a small amount of Chardonnay is added to the Pinot Noir maceration which then ferments together. The result is an utterly ravishing rose as the following notes suggest:

JAMES SUCKLING 94 POINTS - "White fruit immediately on the nose, as well as some very strong lemon and lime notes. Some gently chalky notes, too, from the Chouilly chardonnay, which is super chalky. The palate has such focus and drive and a great, mineral core. Very long with a fresh line of acidity and peripheral, smooth flesh. Some pink grapefruit at the finish. Drink or hold."
