The fruit for this wine is sourced from several distinctive AVA's in the Willamette Valley, ensuring optimal blending potential and representation of the diversity of Pinot Noir in the appellation. Unique sites include vineyards located in the high-elevation Eola-Amity Hills, the foothills of the cool coastal range in the McMinnville AVA, the warm red-soiled vineyards of the Dundee Hills and their expressive Bishop Creek Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. This wine is sourced almost exclusively from biodynamic, organic and LIVE certified vineyards.
WINE SPECTATOR 94 POINTS - "Silky, savory and well-knit, with polished raspberry, spiced cinnamon and orange peel accents that build tension toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2030. 626 cases made."
ANTONIO GALLONI'S VINOUS MEDIA 92 POINTS - "Deep magenta. An expansive bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, mocha, candied flowers and licorice, and a spicy nuance builds in the glass. Sappy cherry and blueberry flavors are underscored by a vein of juicy acidity that adds back-end lift and focus. Supple, even tannins frame the long, spicy finish, which echoes the blue fruit and floral notes. This shows the power of the vintage, but there's real energy here as well. 20% new French oak."
