Chenin Blanc
The “Bonnes Blanches” plot is located on the left bank of the Layon. 2 hectares of Chenin exposed North-East on soils of clay and shale outcropping. Yields are very low with only 25 hectoliters of juice per hectare. Aged for 12 months in barrels of two wines. The “Bonnes Blanches” differ from Rouchefer by a colder, more vertical expression. Less luscious, there is once again mineral and iodine with a second nose focused on dried fruit. The palate is a little denser and phenolic. Superb length!
