Sanlúcar de Barrameda sits on the estuary of the Guadalquivir River where it spills out into the Gulf of Cádiz. The unique microclimate here creates a perfect environment for the development of flor and imbues the wines with their signature salty character. This Manzanilla was aged at a bodega facing La Calzada beach on the banks of the river. It was drawn from two butts out of a solera of 135 and was bottled without filtration. This is a snappy, lissome wine that is
almost overwhelmingly saline and positively begs for the shellfish of Sanlúcar.
