Sandwiched between the famous vineyards of Chateau Petrus and Chateau Lafleur, Chateau Lafleur Saint-Jean is a tiny production from 3 acres of land, all located on the high terrace of Pomerol. Modest in size, it is maintained like a garden: around 20 manual passages are necessary between pruning and harvest in order to obtain perfectly ripe and healthy grapes. The average age of the vines are 40 years old. Lafleur Saint-Jean is bottled at the property, without filtration. It is a powerful, silky, elegant and racy wine which is tasty from its youth but with great aging potential.
