Notes from owner/winemaker Russell From: "There are plenty of places I love, but there's one place I can't do without. That's Chelle Mountain Vineyard. Here, on top of York Mountain, the winds are strong and the vines are even stronger. For years, I've devoted myself to them. And they've responded with a tiny amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, some of the richest, most charismatic, flat-out incredible grapes I've ever known. The resulting wine encompasses years of hands-in-the-dirt dedication, of old battle-hardened vines, and of a complete disregard for expenses. It's me, tilling the soil, tending the vines, and indulging every winemaking whim. In short, Chelle Cabernet Sauvignon is the wine I've always wanted to make, my first-ever estate bottling—hands down one of the best wines I've ever tried.
