The wines of the Jura are some of the most unique, unrelentingly traditional wines anywhere in the world. Raised in the foothills of the Alps in the Hura, a place much better known for its cheeses (Comté, Morbier, Emmental, Mont-d’or, Gex Blue, Vacherin du Haut-Doub) than its wines – except for the hard core geeks who seek out these wines and granting them near cult status in the world of off-the-beaten path wines. Some can be a bit rustic and take a bit of getting used to, but once hooked, you will be a fan for life. Or not, these are very personal wines and honestly not for everyone. The estate was created by none other Guillaume d’Angerville, giving it instant cred. You owe it to yourselves to at least give them a try!!
