With Carlisle's production down in 2015 and since there is no 2015 DuPratt (due to inclement weather), Carlisle decided to hold on to this wine and release it a year later than normal. So in a sense, they've done some of the aging for you! Medium-dark to dark garnet-ruby, this Zinfandel has a fascinating, complex nose of red cherry, cranberry, pine forest, and orange rind. On the palate, an explosion of red cherry liqueur, briar, and cracked black pepper. Classic DuPratt, this wine finishes very clean and long with plenty of verve and snap. For a Zinfandel, this will have a long life. Drink anytime from 2019 through 2030.
