Les Chaillots touches the grand cru Corton Le Rognet, and is on a south-east facing slope with rich clay soils on a lime-stone base. The warm year has favoured the wine with rich fruit, but it has taken none of its structure – smoother and more elegant than usual perhaps – but equal in intensity to other vintages. The fruit is tightly woven, pretty and red, and there is an intense pure finish.
