Winemaker Notes - This grand cru (red) from the Cote de Beaune has a noticeably different expression from the other cuvées of the estate located in the Côte-de-Nuits. The softer, more weathered Oxfordian marl limestones, which form the base of the soil, give the wines harmonious, polished tannins and a lower acidity. The Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet offers a velvety substance (vine peach, jammy fruits, figs) with ample charm, punctuated by smoky notes and animated by a fine minerality which stretches the finish.
