The 2019 Chardonnay is charismatic and crisp yet with a slightly rich feel, giving way to a medium-bodied and creamy palate, exhibiting flavors of apple tarte tatin and lemon cream. The Chardonnay Grande Reserve glides elegantly over the tongue, inspiring with an invigorating minerality and good acid balance.
Winemaking: The grapes given a 24 hour maceration time, with long and gentle pressing, then fermented without pre-clarification or sedimentation, at moderate temperatures with natural yeasts. This is followed by malolactic fermentation, in 500 liter French oak barrels, and storage on the full yeast for twelve months. Bottling without filtration. The vineyard stands on heavy loess-loam soil with veins of limestone running through it. Yields are 55 hectoliters per hectare.
