ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE 95-97 POINTS - "Deep purple-black in color, notes of stewed plums, ripe boysenberries and juicy blackberries charge out of the gate, followed by hints of root beer, smoked meats, black truffles and hoisin. The full-bodied palate has beautiful freshness with a provocative peppery note and bags of ripe, rich black fruits, finishing long and spicy. Due to be bottled in mid-August 2021, 850 cases and a few magnums will be made."
ANTONIO GALLONI 95 POINTS - "The 2019 Andremily No. 8 is mostly Syrah with touches of Mourvedre and Viognier. Blackberry jam, cloves, sweet spices, new oak, licorice and menthol all build as this potent wine opens in the glass. Dense and opulent to the core, the No. 8 is a real head-turner. Time in the glass brings out pretty aromatic notes to balance things out. There's tons of fruit, but terrific energy too."
