If you thought Revana was just a Napa Valley property, you were flat wrong! Less than a decade after he established his successful Napa Valley venture, Dr. Madaiah Revana set his sights on Oregon's Willamette Valley. He fell in love with Pinot Noir and wanted to make Pinot Noir that would rival those from Burgundy.
Due to the transition of soil types from Volcanic to Sedimentary in the Revana Vineyard, the fruit tends to produce unique flavor profiles that stray slightly from what we have come to expect from the Dundee Hills. Pleasant earthiness is highlighted by aromas gushing with red fruit and cocoa nibs, culminating with a caress of sweet red plums. On the entrance, the Pinot Noir is delicate, and teases with red berry bramble, then explodes mid-palate with juicy intense fruit. The transition to the finish is refined, leaving beautiful flavors of red currants and terrior.
WINE SPECTATOR 93 POINTS - "Satiny and multilayered, with floral raspberry and pomegranate flavors that are laced with fresh violet and toasty spice notes. Drink now through 2029. 1,856 cases made."
