Prophecy Red Blend showcases fruit from two of the United States best growing regions, Washington and California. This wine is an exceptional blend that unites the two regions into a single, harmonious wine. The luscious, lingering Red Blend has tantalizing flavors of ripe red raspberry, plum jam, cherries jubilee and chocolate-covered strawberries, supported by hints of toasted oak and cocoa powder on the long, smooth finish.

Winemaking Notes: The Prophecy Red Blend is an intriguing combination of grapes from two West Coast states. The base is from some of Washington’s most esteemed growing regions in the Columbia Valley, including Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley and Horse Heaven Hills. The balance is sourced from premier California coastal regions, including Monterey, San Luis Obisbo and Sonoma Counties. The result is a truly unique and distinctive Red Blend with full-bodied ripe fruit flavors balanced and enhanced by Washington’s trademark acidity. Item #252010

Pecchenino 2015 “San Luigi” Dolcetto, Italy

Call it a soapbox, but we think Dolcetto is one of the world's great misunderstood wines. Is it because the wines are grown in Piedmonte in the shadow of the great Nebbiolo wines of Barolo and Barbaresco? Is it because Dolcetto is rarely meant to be aged? The virtues in this bottling from Pecchenino are obvious with a purity of blueberry fruit and violet perfume wrapped in a satiny texture that would seduce many a Pinot-lover.

WINE SPECTATOR 90 POINTS - "Black cherry, boysenberry and violet candy flavors mark this pretty, juicy red. Shows excellent purity and intensity, with the emphasis on the fruit. Drink now." Item #301112

Zafeirakis 2015 Malagousia, Greece

NEW YORK TIMES: "A new generation of Greek producers is nurturing obscure, indigenous grapes like the white malagousia. This bottle, from Christos Zafeirakis in Trynavos in the Thessaly region, is zesty, peachy and balanced, with lingering flavors that will go well with seafood." --Eric Asimov

The Zafeirakis family has been growing grapes in the Tyrnavos appelation for more than 100 years. After he completed his studies in oenology, fourth generation grower Christos Zafeirakis took the family business to the next level when he bottled wine from his private vineyards in 2005. In addition to the acclaim he has received for this dry white, Christos has been praised for bringing the native Greek red variety, Limniona, back from near extinction. Item #372604

Senorio de Barahonda 2014 Campo Arriba, Spain

We are pleased to introduce you to a stunning Spanish wine. We have enjoyed and carried wines by Senorio de Barahonda previously, but this is the first time we have been able to get our hands on their Campo Arriba bottling. This full-bodied beauty is loaded with dark fruit flavors and light baking spices which are sure to please. It certainly wowed noted wine critic Robert Parker who awarded it 93 Points and called it an amazing value. Parker further stated, "The price is absurdly low for a wine of this quality" and said, "Its true value is in its exuberance, fruit purity and density."

Proprietor and winemaker Antonio Candela runs this estate in the appellation of Yecla, sandwiched in Southeastern Spain between Alicante on the coast and Jumilla further inland. This high elevation, limestone-based vineyards are blessed with a continental climate of abundant sunshine and cool nights. Here, the 60 year old vines produce low-yielding, concentrated and flavorful Monastrell grapes, which form the core of this wine. Antonio Candela rounds out the blend with Syrah and Grenache, which only adds to Campo Arriba's complexity.

This full throttled effort is made in a fresh, forward and juicy crowd-pleasing style. The Incredible quality to price ratio makes this a compelling buy and an excellent case purchase.

WINE ADVOCATE 93 POINTS - "The 2014 Campo Arriba comes from one of the highest elevations in Yecla and it's a blend of 70% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah and 10% Grenache aged three months in small French oak. This winery, started in 1925 by the Candela family, has really hit pay day with this amazing value. Blackberries, blueberries, acacia flowers, and chalky minerality dominate the aromatics and flavors. It is full-bodied, the price is absurdly low for a wine of this quality, and I suspect it can age nicely for another 5-6 years, although its true value is its exuberance, fruit purity and density." Justin Dutraive 2015 Beaujolaais Village, French

Les Bullands is an organically farmed site located below the village of Fleurie.Viticulture: No herbacides or pesticides, organically farmed, soils are worked, all fruit is hand-harvested. Vinification: At harvest, grapes are picked into small bins and refrigerated before going into the vat in order to ensure the purest semi-carbonic maceration. Justin vinified his wine in a sphere-shaped fiberglass container that you turn on its axis as opposed to using a pump-over method. This is done most frequently in the final days of maceration, encouraging textural richness in the wine. All natural yeast fermentation and little or no sulfur additions. Justin adheres to his father's cellar motto of "minimal intervention and maximum surveillance". Aged 6-9 months in fiberglass tank. Justin's first solo Bojo is as juicy and joyful as it gets! Upon its release, his father and friends were said to consume a few magnums on the back patio overlooking the Clos de la Grand'Cour. It's an easy sipper and an exciting first effort from the next generation. Making papa proud!

Chateau Maris 2013 Laliviniere La Touge, France

eROBERT PARKER 88-91 POINTS - " found the 2013 Minervois la Liviniere La Touge very Rhone-like, with subtle leather, spice and garrigue mixed with plenty or raspberry and blackberry fruit. Forward, supple and fruit loaded, with medium-bodied richness, it will drink nicely on release and evolve through 2021. The blend here is Syrah and Grenache that’s aged all in large oak tanks." Agro de Bazan 2015 Granbazan Etiqueta Ambar, Spain

Bodega Granbazan is located in Tremoedo, in the Salnes sub-zone of Rias Baixas. Owners Manuel Otero and his nephew Jesus Alvarez own 17 hectares of 30-year-old Albarino vines that is supplemented by long-term contract with growers. Grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed and undergo six to eight hours of cold maceration, while fermentation is undertaken in concrete and steel tanks using both natural and cultured yeast. I adore their evocative, rather old-fashioned labels with their maritime-themed drawings and equally, more importantly, I loved the wines inside. These are pure Rias Baixas Albarinos that brim over with crispness, flavor and authenticity. Item #381033
