Oronoco Rum starts out with hand cut, Brazilian mountain-grown sugar cane which is crushed within 24 hours and fermented; the fermented cane juice (low wine) is triple distilled using both column and copper pot stills. This clean, fresh rum is then blended with select, aged Venezuelan rum before being laid down in Brazilian casks to allow the individual characteristics of each rum to marry and cultivate polish. Hints of sugar cane, soft oak and vanilla on the nose cause Oronoco to be gently
inviting. The palate leads with a crisp, clean taste that is percipient, lightly spiced, willowy and intricate. The cushy finish is finely piquant and fair showing creamy vanilla. This is one of the rare ‘light’ rums that is great on its own but would also be awesome in a mixed drink.
