VOLVER 10 (100% TEMP.)
There is Tempranillo growing across most of Spain, from world famous regions like Rioja and Ribera del Deuro to the Penedes, Toro, and nearly all of La Mancha. The gnarled old vines planted on such rocky and austere soils don’t produce much. Low yields are essential for concentrated, flavorful wines, but La Mancha’s recent history has mostly been about inexpensive, easy drinking wines. With these great raw materials in the vineyard, Importer Jorge Ordonez knew that La Mancha could do much better. Rather than finding an existing winery to import, Jorge found the right vineyards in the Northwest of La Mancha and hired his own winemaker.WINERY NOTES- "This single vineyard-designated wine has plenty of red cherries, blueberries, mulberries and red raisins, depicting grapes pushed to full ripeness without going beyond the boundary into excessive over ripeness. The oak character is relatively elegant with toasty, coffee hints only, and the balanced wine shows some lingering length as well. Drink now or in the next five or so years."
