TARIMA HILL 10

We’ve had a great run lately of Spanish wines with high scores, irresistibly deep flavors, and “are you kidding me” price tags. As Robert Parker mentions in his review of the new 2010 Tarima Hill, this wine tastes like it “should cost $30 to $50.” Tarima Hill is made from the oldest vines on the estate from a single hill-top planted in 1935. We’ve really enjoyed selling the “little brother” Tarima bottling for the couple last years and we’re excited to see this top-tier bottling truly deliver something bigger and even more delicious than the Tarima we already love. Look for wave after wave of blueberry and blackberry fruit balancing a thread of fiery earth and incense notes. With this great score the Tarima Hill will sell out quickly and be gone for months.

ROBERT PARKER 93 POINTS - "The opaque purple-colored 2010 Tarima Hill exhibits notes of chocolate fudge, pen ink, graphite, blueberries and blackberries. This full-bodied, 100% Monastrell should drink well for a decade or more. These amazing efforts taste more like they should cost $30 to $50 as opposed to the mid-teens."
