STACKHOUSE 2009 PROPRIETARY RED
SONOMA COUNTY 750mL
Stackhouse's Cabernet Sauvignon was our "go to" Cabernet under $20 this past December, and no joke, there were several instances of customers buying the wine and recommending it to other customers on their way to the registers! This year, winemaker Anna Monticelli (who was assistant winemaker at Bryant Family for 4 years) has brought a blend that falls in line with the quality of its predecessor! A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec from Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, and Dry Creek Valley, the wine spent 27 months in oak, a timeframe usually reserved for wines selling for WAY more money! The 2009 Stack House Red Wine Sonoma County bursts from the glass with bright generous fruit. The nose reveals raspberry jam, huckleberries and spring flowers. The plush mouthfeel is followed by a sweet and ripe finish.
