On the nose, soft, bright fruits dominate, with red plum, black cherry and strawberry scents in the fore; there is a layer of white pepper and Provençal herbs that makes their presence known, uplifting and supporting the sweet fruit with their woodsy, earthy essence, keeping everything balanced. The palate leads with sweet, ripe fruit as the nose does, in this case ripe cherry fruit and a touch of cherry vanilla leading to a hint of light caramel and mixed stone fruits. The tannins are very soft but definitely present as earthy spice sidles in around the fruit, lending, again, balance and harmony to the wine.
