In addition to these wines, each year Aaron Jackson also produce the Seafarer Pinot Noir as a special cuvee that brings together the elements from each of his vineyards. The goal is to create a wine that is more about overall texture and depth than individual site expression.

The 2012 Seafarer is 50% from Riven Rock Vineyard, 30% from Stromsoe Vineyard, and 20% from Spanish Springs Vineyard. All these vineyards are 6 miles or less from the chilly Pacific Ocean. The resulting wine features up front aromatics of cola, spice, bing cherry, and baked cranberry, while the palate sings on a fine beam of natural acidity that hits red fruits, minerals, cherry pit, tobacco, and warm cedar tones. the grapes that make up this wine: Mission Ranch, southwest of the town of Soledad and at the junction of the Arroyo Seco and Santa Lucia Highlands appellations, and Silacci, which is just outside the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands and is one of the coolest sites in the county where Pinot Noir is planted. Both are on silty, decomposed granite-based soils. Mission is a bit better drained and less fertile than Silacci and both naturally bear small crops.Because Mission is about 18 miles south of Silacci, and further from Monterey Bay, the climate there is warmer and grapes ripen around the middle of September. At Silacci the grapes are still on the vine until around the end of the month. The sites have different characteristics. Mission gives dark, fairly ripe and plush wine while Silacci is a bit tighter, higher in acid and more perfumed. They fit together quite nicely.

Due to the transition of soil types from Volcanic to Sedimentary in the Revana Vineyard, the fruit tends to produce unique flavor profiles that stray slightly from what we have come to expect from the Dundee Hills. Pleasant earthiness is highlighted by aromas gushing with red fruit and cocoa nibs, culminating with a caress of sweet red plums. On the entrance, the Pinot Noir is delicate, and teases with red berry bramble, then explodes mid-palate with juicy intense fruit. The transition to the finish is refined, leaving beautiful flavors of red currants and terrior. The 2009 Revana Vineyard Pinot Noir was aged for nine months in 16% new French oak and is a blend of 113, 114, 115, 667, 777, Pommard and Wadenswil clones.

Anne Amie's estate and all vineyards they get fruit from are Salmon Safe and LIVE certified, which means they are dedicated to restoring and maintaining healthy watersheds for minimal impact on aquifers and wildlife.

The 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of Pommard and Dijon clones, and was aged for 10 months in both new and neutral Frech oak barrels. The wine is very fresh and crisp, reminding us of lovely Premier Cru reds from Burgundy. The aromas are of blackberry, black cherry, lavender, and a kis of tobacco. The flavors are bright and intriguing, with black cherry, boysenberry, cola nut, and a hint of anise. Paired along with food, this wine is a knockout!
