crafted wines.

Manos Negras focuses on latitude winemaking. Argentina and Chile's winemaking regions stretch 1,500 miles north to south along the Andes. Each latitude possesses a unique terroir with singular combinations of soil and temperature which are ideally suited for different varietals. Manos Negras uses the unique skills of three immigrants to Argentina-New Zealand winemakers Duncan Killiner and Jason Mabbett, and American wine educator Jeff Mausbach- as well as the renown Argentine viticulturist Alejandro Sejanovich to craft wines based on exciting terroir-varietal combinations.

is a baby that smells of the most exquisite French barrels you can dream of, under which there is a huge core of ripe, almost heady, red and blue fruit showing a special brightness with perfumed notes of flowers and wet limestone. The palate is medium-bodied with a great sense of harmony and elegance, sweet fruit aromas, great acidity and a tasty, umami-driven finish. It has very sophisticated, ultra-fine tannins. You feel the hand of a great winemaker in this wine, the balance and power of the old vines, and while slightly international-styled and hard to pin down as Patagonian (it is very sleek!), it is lovely and gives enormous pleasure. Superb! This could be drunk now, but should also last quite well, as it has the balance and acidity to do so. Drink 2015-2025. "

in both red and fruit and in structure- built on acidity and firm tannins. By the time the steak is done, the wine will have integrated perfectly. This comes from a vineyard planted in 1932 in Mainqué, in Río Negro, which Noemía bought shortly after settling in Patagonia in 2001. It’s now the basis of some of the winery’s best wines."

Noemia Patagonia is one of those wineries that has everything going for it—great vineyards in a unique site; one of the world’s most highly regarded winemakers; impeccable Bio-Dynamic farming; and undeniably delicious wine that is praised by every critic who tastes them. We love the balance and brightness of these wines and you may have seen notes from us on previous vintages of Noemia Patagonia. Wines from Argentina’ s Rio Negro region in the southern state of Patagonia are hard to find as the region is about 600 miles south of Mendoza, the center of Argentina’s wine production, and production remain small. Rio Negro is significantly cooler than Mendoza and produces Malbecs that are deeply aromatic and suffused with fresh red fruit notes of pomegranate, raspberry, and currant.
