PSYCHEDELIC ROOSTER 08 BARBERA
These Barbera grapes were grown in the Silvaspoons Vineyard in Lodi’s Alta Mesa AVA. The vineyard’s owner Ron Silva is one of Lodi’s most passionate growers and it is evident in the grapes he cultivates. The vineyard is comprised of loose gravelly top soil and beautiful, blonde colored loamy soil beneath – Ron’s hard work and dedication to his craft have produced some outrageously good fruit! A suitably dark purple hue, fills the glass and the nose is jam packed with luscious boysenberry, dark plum and white pepper aromas. This is a very supple and engaging wine with vibrant acidity, ripe tannins and subtle minerality that surrounds a core ofdark cherry and plum fruit with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla on the palate. It has excellent balance and a long silkyfinish.
