state famous for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris also work for their sibling Pinot Blanc, giving Adelsheim wines that are racy, yet bold in character. By the 1970's in California, producers found that they had no true Pinot Blanc in the state, so David Adelsheim led a program to import two clones directly from Alsace to Oregon. Thus, David was in on the ground floor with this variety - 1989 was Adelsheim's first vintage.

Vivid green-apple and lemon flavors, this tangy mouthful mixes its high-acid lemony fruit with highlights of pineapple and grapefruit. Nicely delineated, but definitely for those who love acid.

If you thought Revana was just a Napa Valley property, you were flat wrong! Less than a decade after he established his successful Napa Valley venture, Dr. Madaiah Revana set his sights Read More...
on Oregon’s Willamette Valley. He fell in love with Pinot Noir and wanted to make Pinot Noir that would rival those from Burgundy. His search lead him to winemaker Lynn Penner-Ash, one of the most talented winemakers in Oregon, and a person Wine Spectator believes has "...the perfect blend of science, artistry and passion."

Due to the transition of soil types from Volcanic to Sedimentary in the Revana Vineyard, the fruit tends to produce unique flavor profiles that stray slightly from what we have come to expect from the Dundee Hills. Pleasant earthiness is highlighted by aromas gushing with red fruit and cocoa nibs, culminating with a caress of sweet red plums. On the entrance, the Pinot Noir is delicate, and teases with red berry bramble, then explodes mid-palate with juicy intense fruit. The transition to the finish is refined, leaving beautiful flavors of red currants and terrior. The 2009 Revana Vineyard Pinot Noir was aged for nine months in 16% new French oak and is a blend of 113, 114, 115, 667, 777, Pommard and Wadenswil clones.

- "Tangy, focused and juicy, with blackberry, currant and subtle spice flavors, finishing with an open feel to the expressive finish. Shows impressive purity, clarity and length. Drink now through 2020. 1,600 cases made."

this region from the dramatic weather variations experienced in other nearby growing areas. True to the appellation, Alexana's 80-acre property possesses an incredibly diverse and complex series of soils and exposures. Located between 360 and 640 feet above sea level, the site has eighteen soil types spread over a combination of rolling hills, steep slopes and some rugged terrain.

Stunning and bright, the Alexana 2011 Riesling is clean, crisp and austere - almost Alsatian-style Riesling. Abounding with green apple and loads of minerals, the texture is rich and expansive. Grapefruit, honeysuckle and a hint of petrol come together to create a complex wine with intense layers and brilliant acidity, perfect for pairing with spicy food.

The 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of Pommard and Dijon clones, and was aged for 10 months in both new and neutral Frech oak barrels. The wine is very fresh and crisp, reminding us of lovely Premier Cru reds from Burgundy. The aromas are of blackberry, black cherry, lavender, and a kis of tobacco. The flavors are bright and intriguing, with black cherry, boysenberry, cola nut, and a hint of anise. Paired along with food, this wine is a knockout!
