Our Wine of the Month is easy drinking, affordable and guaranteed to create an impression. La Coquille blends notes of spice, black tea, leather, meat, cherry vanilla fruit and sea salt. The palate is equally tempting, with oodles of sweet, forward fruit that is balanced by good amounts of tannin and grip. Notes of both red and black plum, blackberry fruit, black pepper and mixed spices envelop the palate while the rounded tannins counterpoint nicely. The finish is lengthy and gorgeous. So much for so little! Our Champagne focus is a super natural Champagne from Franck Pascal. “Pascal’s wines have previously been excellent, but today he is taking them to an even higher plane, and he is on the verge of making this one of Champagne’s finest grower estates.” – Peter Leim We also have a North American Report, some FANTASTIC New Discoveries, Spirits, Beer, Cigars and much much more! Enjoy! |

We've long been fans of Merryvale, one of Napa's
brightest shining stars in our opinion. And, while Merryvale's prestige cuvées
received much well-deserved recognition, the Starmont series has been offering
serious value and quality since 1985. While competitors in the "fighting varietal" categories have come and gone, the Starmont wines maintain a strong
go-to presence. Why? Because they taste fantastic and it's difficult to find
this much class for under $20 in the Napa Valley.
