the further it unfurls opening into notes of sweeter berry fruit laced with more of those soily, forest floor notes. The palate is dense and concentrated with a plethora of fruit characters, plum, blackberry, mulberry, earth, iodine and black olive. Despite the richness and intensity of the attack and mid palate the experience surprisingly crescendos with a lick of spicey pepper, coupled with lovely, fined grained, textural tannins that seem to persist in the mouth forever.

a seamless, gravelly, loamy thing with lovely fruit expression. Brilliantly crafted and a wonderful expression of the region."- Ray Jordan, The West Australian, November 2014.
"Grown on 50 year old vines. Matured in all French oak. Single Vineyard McLaren Vale shiraz. Production of 600-ish dozen. Coffeed, creamy oak plays a key role though a wealth of grainy, blackberried fruit sits hand-in-glove. This is a rich but well-mannered expression of McLaren Vale. Indeed you’d argue that it has an elegance. Minerally notes extend through the finish and tannin is ultra fine. Quality of the vintage is pretty clear here. Rated: 93 Points Alcohol: 14%. Closure: Screwcap Drink: 2018 - 2028+" - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.

and a slightly closed nose of black currant cordial, mulberries, espresso and tree bark with a whiff of bacon. Full-bodied, ripe, rich and spicy in the mouth, it has a good foundation of crisp acid and a medium level of silky tannins, finishing long. Drinking nicely now, it should keep to 2017+."

Deep crimson-purple, this wine brings together the best of these varieties – a big fruit impact, fine tannin structure, fresh acidity and silky texture. This is a seamless wine showing incredible depth and amazing length. With an array of fruit, blackcurrant, berries and plum accompanied by lifted oak, vanilla and warm spice this wine is a journey not to be missed. Two Left Feet is rich and generous, a harmonious blend with a persistent finish.

WINERY NOTES - I call this one a fence sitter’s wine, not in a bad way (I’d have to call myself a bit of a fence sitter), but if you can’t decide, this has it all – the best of all worlds. I guess it doesn’t have any rules, we just put the best combination of Shiraz, Cabernet & Merlot together – so if you can’t choose, why not have it all? At least it creates a few constructive arguments, some of us fighting for a couple of percent of Cab, or Merlot, but Shiraz is usually the big winner making up a good chunk of this blend.

a polished texture. Drink now through 2016."

Let the Davey brothers introduce you to McLaren Vale, one of Australia’s most renowned wine growing areas. During the 1990s, Kym and John Davey brought their combined expertise in winemaking, farming and business to continue and develop the estate first farmed by their Grandfather in 1957. Their goal was, and remains, to produce affordable, quality wines that express the true character of McLaren Vale. The nose displays many dark fruits, black cherry, blue berry, blackberry, as earthy tar, mint and Christmas spices add to the palette. The palate showcases red and dark berries, more mint, red plum and a touch of earth as upfront acidity and lush tannins lead to a medium-length, enjoyable finish.
