The winery only makes a little over 400 cases of this Malvasia. We wonder why it’s so rare! The aromas are layered with floral notes of acacia, citrus blossom and fine-grained minerals complementing a core of candied orange and soft Crenshaw melon. This part of Italy is best known for sparkling wines (often sparkling reds) and before 2004, Luzzano’s Malvasia fruit was made into a bubbly wine. We’re sure that was delicious, but this “Tasto de Seta” bottling (meaning “touch of silk”) has become a house favorite here at Hi-Time.
