Michael Collins Blended is a refined Irish Whiskey that intricately weaves the marvelous single malt and superior grain whiskeys from the world famous Cooley Distillery. It is double distilled to achieve purity without sacrificing dimension or flavor. The whiskey is aged in bourbon barrels for four to twelve years before being masterfully blended. The nose shows dried citrus zest, trenchant blossoms, honey, malt, oak spice and roasted nuts. The palate carries easy redolence end-to-end, displaying malty grains, vanilla, honey and toasted woods. The finish is dry and lingers moderately, exhibiting the flavors again with an emphasis on the oak spice; this is also very nice whiskey. Try it neat, on ice or in a variety of spirit forward cocktails.
