CHAMPAGNE GUIDE 1 STAR - "This is a Chardonnay that’s very much in the Giraud style, with an ample girth and bold flavors of stone fruit and fresh apple. It’s currently based on 2007, and made largely in stainless steel, although ten percent of it is Aÿ chardonnay vinified in new wood. The balance between forthright fruitiness and lively acidity is excellent, and the sleek, fragrant finish is noticeably longer than that of the Esprit Brut. Last tasted: 7/10"
