ERIC KENT 2012 PINOT NOIR "SMALL TOWN" SONOMA COAST 750mL

Eric Kent is one of those super small producers that make such incredible wines that they are hard to keep on our shelves. They produces flavorful yet balanced Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and Syrahs from the cooler reaches of Sonoma Coast. As typicl with these kinds of producers, score are high and allocations are small.

The "Small Town" bottling is a barrel selection showcasing the finer qualities of many of their vineyard sources. Due to the small yields of the 2011 vintage, no Sasha Maria was produced (their most sought-after bottling), so all that fruit went into Small Town!

Eric Kent's signature Small Town aromas are exuberant and robust, exhibiting Bing cherry and seemingly endless waves of creamy raspberry wrapped in savory herbs and spices. The palate follows through with deep, persistent flavors, lively Sonoma Coast acidity and a clarity of fruit that is downright inspiring. Were especially taken by the 2012s overall seamlessness and harmony at such an early stage in its evolution. No awkward knees or elbows here, and once again our most savory Pinot Noir that truly honors its wonderful cool-climate roots.
