END POST 10 CS PASO ROBLES
Next to our wine of the month, this is typically our 2nd most popular wine of December. With that in mind, we always take special care and look extra hard to be sure that the quality of this wine exceeds its pricepoint. Hey, if that's what we wantin the wines we take home, that's what we should find for you… right? End Post is brought to us by our friends at Adelaida in Paso Robles, and while there are some things we could tell you (like how it's fermented, the oak, yadda, yadda, yadda), the main thing you need to know is that from the first sip, we KNEW this was going to take this spot on our list away from any other contender! Opaque garnet/purple in color, this shows black and red fruits on the nose as it opens, with cassis, pomegranate and cherry, leading to anisette, violets, chestnut and cocoa aromas. The attack on the palate is full-on expansive and seductive, with rich blackberry, cherry and framboise that intermingles with vanilla, nutmeg and a hint of spice. The tannins are plush, the acidity is good and the wine is impossible to resist!
