There is a supple, silky quality to the best Dolcettos that will excite many fans of Pinot Noir. The nose is a layered and enticing with scents of dried flowers and incense. The surprise here may be the depth and structure—Pecchenino’s “Siri d’Jermu” is from a steeply sloping vineyard based on limestone soils, providing structure and some heft to support all those pretty qualities up front. Seriously yummy wine.
