DUNSTAN 10 CH DURELL
The Durell vineyard is one of the most prestigious vineyards in Sonoma County. One of California’s true “Grand Cru” sites, this vineyard focuses on quality over quantity, and the list of wineries that purchase fruit from Durell includes: Chasseur, Chateau St. Jean, Kistler, Robert Craig and Tor Kenward. In 2005, the owner replanted an 8.5 acre block that now produces the best of the best fruit… this block is dedicated exclusively to Dunstan. This wine has a deep gold color and big, heady aromas of butterscotch, toasted oak, flowers and a subtle citrus note. In the mouth, the flavors follow suit, joined by dried apple, lemon oils and cream. Distinctly Californian in style, this big, rich, dry, oaky wine will continue to evolve over the next 2-5 years.
