DUMOL 10 CH CHLOE
To say we are ecstatic about carrying the wines from DuMOL would be a severe understatement! Proprietors Kerry Murphy and Michael Verlander have been working tirelessly for over a decade to bring consumers their best expressions of wine from the Russian River Valley, and they have succeeded like few others have! Andy Smith is the talented winemaker and viticulturist, and he's worked with some of the best in the industry, including Ted Lemon (Littorai) and Paul Hobbs. Many of our customers have been asking for DuMOL wines for quite some time (as we have, too), and production is quite small, so don't hesitate to pick up some of this treasured wine, while it's still available!The Chloe bottling comes entirely from the prestigious Ritchie Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Yields are kept down to only 3 tons per acre to increase complexity in the wine. It was aged for 15 months in 50% new French oak barrels.
Brilliant pale yellow gold color, this is richly aromatic with nectarine, orange marmalade, mango, a subtle edge of fragrant lilies. Broad intense fruit richness, white peach, citrus oil, toasted nuts, almond paste, and brioche come forward on the palate. It has a real sense of thrusting power, but perfect balance between pulsating fruit, precise acidity, and a lemon zest finish.
