DOM ORFEUILLES BT ROSE
Located in an outbuilding of a Medieval Loire Valley castle, Domaine D’Orfeuilles was founded in 1947 by Paul Herivault. The estate is now run by Bernard Herivault and his son Arnaud, who are dedicated to upholding the family’s high standards of viticulture and wine production. For their sparkling Rosé, the duo choose to fashion a 100% Cot- (the local term for Malbec) based cuvée. Even in the relatively cool environs of Touraine, Malbec is such a robust grape that the Herivaults had to be extremely careful to keep the time of skin contact with the must to a minimum in order to retain this sparkler’s delicacy and charm. They met this challenge with flying colors as this is a beautiful pale pink fizz that presents a lively assortment of red berry, nougat and watermelon flavors that are just the thing to help your roasted Turkey and cranberry sauce soar.
