DOLCETTO 09 ABBONA "MAIOLI"
This is an incredibly old vineyard in the Dolcetto dominated region of Dogliani, planted in 1936 by Anna Maria's Grandfather. Just to the south of the Barolo area, Dogliani sits in an incredibly scenic valley beneath the alps.The complex nose of roses, blackberries, peppercorn and spices is matched by an equally dense and sophisticated palate of earth and dark fruits. Savory herbs and subtle brown spices harmonize with the fruit and bring liveliness to the sturdy yet full and luscious texture and medium weight of the wine.
