In a Rose de Saignee the must is left in contact with the Pinot Noir grape skins util the right color is obtained. There is no addition of still red wine to the blend as is the usual practice in Champagne. This is method gives this Rose remarkable power and richness. It sports a vivid ruby color with a fresh bouquet and flavor of raspberries and Morello cherries. An outstanding main course Champagne.
